Livestream Update
We’ve been having issues downloading footage from our Live Stream when it exceeds 12 hours. This is most likely a problem because we are beginners in the Live Railcam realm. Right now, our solution is to end the stream, download the footage and then restart the stream. This is happening around 7:40am and 7:40pm – ish. We will put warnings in chat on the livestream when we are transitioning.
The Livestream will be going down twice a day in order to download the live footage.
We have also been having trouble with the stream going down during the early morning hours on Sundays. We think this is an issue with our ISP – and are still looking for a solution for that as well.
We appreciate everyone’s patience as we grow in tech skills to manage this in a way that doesn’t interrupt the stream as often. We have a couple of other tricks to try, and hopefully we will find a solution to this soon.
Right now, we’ve been able to post the last couple of live streams in full – and our next step will to bring you a curated video of the day as well.
We still have a ton of other challenges to work through as we launch. Our unexpected subscriber growth has kicked us into high gear, and we are grateful for everyone’s support!
